Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers about pricing, scheduling, and what happens to your stuff.

How does your pricing work?

We price by how much space your stuff takes up in the trailer, not by the item. Our 14 ft trailer with 4 ft sides holds about 14–15 cubic yards, the same as a full franchise junk truck. Loads run from a minimum pickup to a full load, and dump fees are included. See the pricing page for every tier.

How do I get a quote?

The fastest way is to text a few photos to (909) 353-7661. During business hours Chris usually texts back a price within 15 minutes. You can also use the booking form or call. The price is always confirmed on site before we touch anything.

Do I need to be home?

Not always. If everything is outside or in an unlocked garage and you have approved the price by text, you do not need to be there. For work inside the home we like you or someone you trust there for the walkthrough.

Do you do same-day pickups?

Often, yes. Both of our landfills are close, so same-day is realistic when the schedule has room. Same-day or after-hours pickups carry a +$50 add-on. Text early in the day for the best chance.

What happens to my stuff after you take it?

We donate usable items to places like Habitat ReStore and Goodwill, take scrap metal to a recycler, and send the rest to the landfill. We recycle and donate whatever we reasonably can.

Do you take mattresses and refrigerators?

Yes. Mattresses and box springs are $25 each. Refrigerators, freezers, and A/C units (they contain Freon) are $40 each. Both are in addition to your load price.

How do I pay?

Cash, card, Zelle, or Venmo, once the job is done. No deposit is required for standard residential pickups.

Do you move items out of the house, or just the curb?

We go in and carry everything out, and that is included in the price. Stairs, a long carry, or hoarder conditions can add $50–$150, and we tell you before we start.

Is there a minimum charge?

Yes. The minimum pickup covers one or two items and runs $125–$175. If you have more than a couple of items, a 1/4 load is usually the better value.

What areas do you serve, and is there a travel fee?

We serve Beaumont, Cherry Valley, Banning, Cabazon, Whitewater, Calimesa, Yucaipa, Mentone, Redlands, Moreno Valley, Hemet, and San Jacinto with no travel fee. Riverside, Perris, and Highland carry a +$50 travel add-on.

Can you haul concrete, dirt, tile, or roofing?

Heavy materials like concrete, dirt, tile, and roofing are limited to a half load per trip for weight and are priced by weight. Text a photo and we'll quote it.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Badlands Junk Removal is licensed and insured. Property managers and contractors can request a certificate of insurance (COI) any time.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

No problem and no fee. Just text or call as early as you can so we can offer the slot to someone else.

What can't you take?

We cannot take hazardous waste, asbestos, medical waste, bulk wet paint, propane tanks over 5 gallons, or ammunition. Large amounts of concrete, dirt, or roofing need a quote because of weight. See the What We Take page for the full list.

Still have a question?
